ALDI

Multiple women were victims last Wednesday in thefts that took place in both the Aldi and Stop and Shop parking lots.

According to police and multiple accounts, at 1:30 PM on June 29, a woman was pushed from behind and fell to the ground as she loaded groceries into her vehicle, and then her purse was then stolen.  The woman struggled for the purse, however, it was taken from her.

Later that same day, at 6:00 PM, police say that the victim’s purse was stolen from her carriage as she leaned over placing groceries into the trunk of her vehicle, she did not have any physical contact with the suspect.

Police say both incidents are linked to a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Greenwich.

Police state there are several leads, and the investigation is ongoing.
