As stated previously, the town sustained massive damage town wide and it will take weeks to finish the clean up of debris. The amount of debris that was left behind from this storm is enormous. We are asking for everyone’s help with clean up efforts and urge residents, if possible, to take as much debris as you can to the Transfer Station instead of leaving it curbside.
· If you are unable to bring limbs to the Transfer Station the Town will provide curbside collection service for tree debris less than 8 feet in length and up to 8” in diameter.
· Hired tree/landscape contractors should not be placing debris at the curb. Materials left at the curb by contractors will not be picked up.
· Smaller debris (branches must be less than 3 feet in length) can be broken up and placed in trash bags, brown bags or left loose in barrels and left out with your weekly garbage. The collection contractor will collect up to 3 bags/barrels per week. In addition, small bagged debris can be brought to the Transfer Station and discarded with the garbage. If possible we urge residents to bring these materials to the Transfer Station.
· The Transfer Station is open Monday through Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A resident sticker or trip pass is required.
We are asking for everyone’s continued patience. We are fortunate that during this storm we did not have any residents sustain any critical injuries or loss of life. As a community, we will continue to work together to clean up, recover and rebuild after this devastating storm.
