Kevin Kenmeugue
Early this morning at 3:30am, a resident reported a male attempting to enter unlocked vehicles on Windmill Hill Rd. Officers were on scene within 4 minutes and located a male in the immediate area walking on Meadow Circle Rd. The individual was eventually identified as Kevin Kenmeugue, age 23, of Bridgeport CT.
The incident was captured on the resident’s RING camera and officers were able to view the surveillance video immediately. The surveillance video helped officers identify and confirm Kenmeugue’s involvement with the attempted theft and allowed for an arrest to be made. In addition, the officer’s investigation further revealed that Kenmeugue had an active arrest warrant from the City of Bridgeport.
Kenmeugue was charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Larceny 6th, Criminal Trespass 3rd and Interfering with an Officer. He was then transported to the Bridgeport Police Department.
This incident is a great example of residents and the police department working together to protect the community. Branford Police would like to thank the alert resident for calling us immediately and we remind our citizens to lock your doors and call the police if you observe suspicious activity in your neighborhood.
