A burst pipe will shut down Branford Restaurant LaLuna for up to two months as repairs and upgrades are put in place.

Owner Edgar Ortiz stated the shut down is temporary, and LaLuna “will definitely be reopening.”

“We are going to use this as an opportunity to upgrade some of the restaurant and update the building,” said Ortiz.

Regular patrons have been asking about the annual Easter Brunch, something that has become tradition for many local families. LaLuna’s Sunday Brunch is well known, but the weekly event is on hold for now.

However, arrangements have been made to hold the annual Easter brunch at Bill Millers Castle. However, due to demand, reservations are strongly suggested. To reserve a table, please call 203-488-4583.

Ortiz also owns  the new 56 Diner, which remains open for business on Leete’s Island Road.
